The true story for most is that OnlyFans performers make an average of £1400 a month
Lilly Philips
Lily Phillips has written – for want of a better phrase - her way into the record books with her 100 man sex orgy.
The 23-year-old set herself a challenge of having sex with a hundred men in a single day, all for the benefit of her OnlyFans devotees, a TV crew from Netflix, and presumably some sense of notoriety.
Her escapade was disturbing on so many levels – there are obvious implications for her health, it objectifies and devalues women, it sends the message that extreme sex is normal, and it places women in danger.
The OnlyFans platform is often cited as a lucrative way for women to make money and that it is a safe way to sell sex and is a way of using sex to empower women.
Many celebrities feature on the platform, Kerry Katona claims to have made a millionaire, Katie Price says she makes a fortune, singer Lily Allen says she makes more money showcasing pictures of her feet than she does from downloads of her music.
The other story is of women selling what they have to make ends meet. Some have been stalked by obsessive fans, many say their followers demand they carry out ever more perverse sex acts.
The true story for most is that OnlyFans performers make an average of £1400 a month. OnlyFans themselves have admitted instances of extreme violence, use of weapons and animal abuse have been found on their platform.
There have also been cases of exploitation of children.
The overwhelming number of creators are young women while the majority of subscribers are older men – that in itself is disturbing.
Lily Phillips will forever be “that woman”, her exploits have been captured forever. The fact that 100 men queued up for their four minutes of one way sex is a commentary on the seedy underside of our society.
It’s perverse in the extreme to be content to sit in a room with 99 other men knowing that most of them will have been and gone by the time your turn comes round.
The reality is that despite it being portrayed as fun and flirty indulgence OnlyFans has become a dangerous place.
It’s a paradise for the demanding, the stalker and the perverse and perpetuates the ever increasing current day impression that women just “put out’’ as a matter of course.
As for Lily, despite admitting the experience had left her traumatised, the need and want for ever more extreme acts has led her to tweet her intention to have sex with a thousand men in 24 hours.
Lily and others need to be saved from themselves and the perverts’ playground that’s going to be the death of them.
