Heartfelt tributes have been pouring in for a young Limerick mother whose body was discovered in a hotel on Steamboat Quay, Limerick, on Wednesday night.
Friends and loved ones have described Clodagh Ferguson (28) as a “beautiful, one of a kind” woman who “had her whole life ahead of her”.
An investigation is underway in Limerick after the body of a woman was found at a hotel in the city.
The discovery occurred near Steamboat Quay late this Wednesday night, July 16.
Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 10.30pm.
Paramedics attended the location, where she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardaí have confirmed that a post-mortem examination will take place at University Hospital Limerick later today.
A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: “A woman was pronounced deceased by ambulance personnel. No further information is available at this time.”
Meanwhile tributes have been paid online following her death.
“May you finally be at peace, love. It’s so heartbreaking,” one friend wrote. “All you ever wanted was a peaceful life for you and your boy. Watch over him my girl, until we meet again.”

Another posted: “Beautiful girl, look over your family and your son .”
“I’m in shock. I cannot believe that you’re gone, my heart is broke,” one emotional message read.
“Thinking of your mother and your baby boy who absolutely adored his beautiful mammy. Rest easy my beautiful, crazy friend. I’ll never forget you.”
Another tribute said: “So sad. Rest in peace Clodagh. Hope your family has the strength to get through this. Mind your little boy.”
The circumstances around the 28-year-old’s death are currently unknown. Gardaí confirmed that paramedics attended the location and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
