“You can never bet against a legend”
Jake Paul challenged Katie Taylor to "put your money where your mouth is" after the Irish boxer predicted he will lose to Mike Tyson in their much-anticipated Friday night fight.
At the end of a chaotic press conference for Paul vs Tyson at the Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas, host Ariel Helwani asked every undercard fighter who they thought would win.
Every one of them aside from Katie’s former foe Amanda Serrano, who is promoted by Paul's Most Valuable Promotions, gave 'Iron Mike' the edge.
When Katie said: "You can never bet against a legend” the furious Youtuber stood up and confronted everyone who had bet against him, asking “how much” they were willing to wager.
Paul snarled: "When I see dumb people saying dumb predictions, I just feel bad for them."
He then went around to each boxer in turn, offering to place bets on the result, and challenging them to "put your money where your mouth is".
When he got to Shu Shu Carrington Jr, who fights Dana Coolwell on the night, the 13-0 featherweight quipped: "How much do you want to lose?"
Paul retorted: "The time I spent taking a s*** is how much you make in your whole life!"

Before moving on, Paul turned to Taylor, saying: "Oh wait, I forgot Katie Taylor back here."
After he asked her "how much do you want to bet?" she repeated the question back to him, with Paul replying "as much as you want. I'm not losing, no shot in hell."
The undisputed super lightweight champion then suggested they "bet your purse" with Paul agreeing to the terms before declaring: "I'm sending out contracts, too!"
This is not the first time Jake Paul has placed big bets on fights, having wagered Taylor's promoter Eddie Hearn that Serrano would win their Madison Square Garden headliner in April 2022.
Although Katie won that bout to successfully defend her undisputed lightweight championship, Hearn later revealed that the bet had to be cancelled on the basis that promoters are not allowed to bet on their own fights.

The 27-year-old Paul will step inside the ring with Tyson (58) at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas on Friday, 19 years after ‘Iron Mike’ last fought professionally.
YouTube star Paul has gone 10-1 as a pro boxer in recent years with victories over MMA fighters and lesser-known boxers and suffering his only defeat at the hands of Tyson Fury’s half-brother, Tommy, in 2023.
Paul confronted Tyson at the press conference about comments made in a documentary where the former champion described himself as "natural born killer".
Tyson coolly replied: “That's what I said”.
Paul, who wore a diamond spiked ear cover and referenced the infamous title fight where Tyson bit a chunk out of Evander Holyfield's ear in 1997, called his opponent's comments "cute",
Tyson simply ignored him.
The event then descended into farce as former world champion Tony Bellew crashed the press conference with his own microphone.
He started mocking Paul from the crowd while accompanied by an old man wearing a boxing robe and gloves.
"He's the champion of the care home,” Bellew shouted. “Jake is fighting a grandfather so why not fight a great-grandfather who has had two new hips and is 106.”
He was then ushered out by security men dressed in black.
For light-welterweight champion Taylor, who edged her rival to win by split decision in an all-time classic in 2022, she will now compete for the undisputed title.
About 70,000 fans are expected on Friday in a fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
